I used to juice.. and it quickly became a pain! It was a lot of work, a lot of produce and I had so little time… then I was turned on to the Nutribullet…
all of the same fab benefits and less than half the mess!! I so love this little machine!
A couple of rules I stick to:
- start with half greens such as kale or spinach
- half fruit
- add water (and ice.. they are better cold!)
- I add Vi-Trim Clear Control
- lastly, my boosters… right now i’m stuck on gogi berries etc… super good antioxidant and so much more! Going to venture out soon and try chia seeds! 🙂
It’s actually super yummy!!! And sooo good for you!! njoy! 🙂
It’s important that we know the difference.. not all carbs are bad! We need them! They give us energy! Just know, which are good and which are bad:) Happy Monday everyone! XO ~T http://ow.ly/i/2nKUt
Okay, who wants to go on a Spring cleaning ride? When I feel like there is too much clutter, I get stressed! It’s normal for some of us to not purge enough… think about how often something new is coming into your house… whether it’s mail, child’s school project or a new blouse. Do you get rid of something every time you get something new? I don’t! And then, without what I believe to be any notice, I feel like the walls are caving in on me! Okay, I’m totally exaggerating but you know what I mean… that overwhelming feeling that there is a drawer or closet that just needs to be cleaned out? I totally obsess about it until it’s done! So… Here goes! Time to spring clean! Regroup, organize, maybe paint a lil… it’ll be fun! Wanna come?
Naturally I start on Pinterest for organization and decor ideas right?? How ’bout this this for inspiration?
The order and organization makes me sooo happy!!! This is going to be great!
Love that I get paid to hang out with girls and talk about purses!!
Had a fabulous show with a dear friend of mine, Regina last Sunday.
I asked Amber, a new member of my team, to come with me and train and help out and l I’m sure glad I did! There were so many women and every one of them sweeter than the next!
We had a wonderful time and Regina walked away with over $350 in hostess credits! I would say that’s a pretty good day at “work.”
I’ve always had a close relationship with God. Never questioned it just have faith that I know the truth. I love that G has expressed that same faith. You see.. for his father it doesn’t come as naturally so I’m thrilled that he’s picking it up and believing! He asked me about a year ago if God was a person or a cloud…sometimes I really wonder how to explain things, but I do my best!
Proud to have this beautiful art in our entry way (sorry, not the best pic) but it was handmade with love by my dear friend Andrea (retrohipmama) and I love it!
Probably long overdue, I finally decided that we needed to go to church! So when my church going bff was in town and looking for a church to attend while they were here, I suggested the one down the street from me so that we could try it out and if we liked it, that would be our new home church! So, we went to church for the first time two weeks ago on Sunday and when I picked him up from Kidzfest and asked what he learned it was that we should tell all of our friends the good news and then they can tell people the good news and pretty soon, everyone will know the good news! And also, when you give someone a sticker, you should say “Jesus loves you!”
Our time after church has become one of my most treasured times with him. We discuss what we learned and how to apply it to our lives. We discussed Matthew 19:19 “Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” I used this opportunity emphasize that God is telling you to listen to Mommy and Daddy 🙂
On our way home from our walk one evening, G asked to stop at our next door neighbor’s house to say hello… I think he’s off to a great start!!
I have no words to express my love for this child! And having a faith focused home is soo important to me and I couldn’t be happier with how G is picking things up, open to the word and enjoys praying. I am thrilled to report that G and his Daddy have been praying together too!
Whether you are a mom that goes to work every day, works from home or is a full time mommy… we all have guilt of some sort. When I go to work, I feel bad for not being with my son, when I’m working from home, I feel like we should be doing projects and my friends that are stay at home moms feel bad when they are cleaning and feel as though they should be doing flashcards with the kiddos.
The bottom line is, we all have struggles with our situations. We are all in the search of “balance.” I’m learning that quality is better than quantity. Yes, I would love to stay at home with my son but I am really trying to focus on making sure I’m “PRESENT” with him when we are together.
I always tell him I’m never too busy for him. We all have things that we need to get done… dishes, laundry, paying bills, etc. but our time with our children and families are so precious. I feel blessed that Greyson loves to help. Acts of Service is definitely his love language. He loves to help me cook, do laundry, dust, garden.
Don’t feel guilty for doing the things that you need to do. The laundry fairy is not going to come in the middle of the night and take care of those loads for you. Try to get your little ones involved. Let them clean out the lint for you (one of Greyson’s favorite things to do!). You are also encouraging good work ethic! G knows that as a part of the family, he’s got his “jobs” and he loves contributing!
Find rewards or chore charts that work for you and your family! Here is a great reward system that a girlfriend of mine came up with for her 11 year old. (check her out)
Let go of guilt, be present and enjoy you family!
It’s so cliché but life is truly a journey, and I’ve decided to enjoy the ride! I feel as though it’s a book sometimes and different phases in life are different chapters.
Currently, I’m in an epiphany chapter! I remember when I was 17 thinking I knew everything about life. Now I think… HA! That’s so cute! I feel as though I know less now! I guess that’s part of growing up and maturing right?
My thoughts now consist of; where am I now and where do I want to be a year from now? What needs to be done to get there?
This journey is going to be a long one… but fun, exciting, rewarding and oh so worth it when I look back next year!
Here are a few things that are on my “to do by next year list” (btw- I’ve got many lists… part of the ocd thing..hehe)
To Do by Next Year
- Spend more time with the lil man
- Get Healthy (including but not limited to weight loss)
- Run a half marathon
- Happy, healthy clear skin
- Become a leader with Gigi Hill and Jamberry
- Balance – key to life I feel everyone is always searching for… let’s find it and KEEP it!
Thanks for joining me for this ride! In the words of my Grandma… sit down, shut up and hold on~
